Avoiding Blue Light
You Can Change Your Computer Settings to Eliminate Blue Light
Countless studies have shown that the blue light cast by bright screens - like your laptop or mobile device - reduce our ability to fall asleep fast, and in turn maintain our energy throughout the day. This light actually tricks our brain into believing it’s daytime, which throws off our circadian rhythm. This blue light also increases our risk of macular degeneration, contributes to digital eye strain, and if you have been dealing with eye issues (like cataracts) it's imperative you limit your exposure to blue light. YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR COMPUTER SETTINGS TO ELIMINATE BLUE LIGHT Luckily the geniuses who make our electronic devices which emit blue light have found a solution! Typically referred to as 'night shift' this setting which you can toggle on or off pretty easily on most devices turns the blue light off on your devices, protecting your eyes from strain. Some (like windows 10) even give you the option to automatically adjust the blue light with the time of day. DID YOU KNOW?
