APPENDIX A DEFINITION OF A FULL-TIME TEACHING POSITION AND STIPEND BANDS Last Updated April 2024 The question of how to equitably distribute the many responsibilities and opportunities required of teaching faculty at BB&N is a long- standing and complex one. While no one solution is perfect, we are committed to continually reviewing the standard workload with an eye toward eliminating the largest inequities. The underlying ethos is one of teamwork, commitment to student growth and development, and providing a robust educational and extracurricular program to our students. We know that our roles at BB&N necessitate our willingness to step up and lend a hand and take on additional responsibilities when necessary in order to best serve our students. We also acknowledge that this new methodology moves away from using percentages and we believe this new methodology better encapsulates the complexity associated with de昀椀ning a full time teaching position. LOWER SCHOOL 25-32 (with a minimum of 24) instructional & duty contact periods per week.
