INTRODUCTION This Employee Handbook is intended for employees of Buckingham Browne & Nichols School (“BB&N” or the “school”). It is your responsibility as an employee and member of the BB&N community to read and familiarize yourself with the information contained in this Handbook and to address Human Resources with any questions. This Handbook summarizes current policies and standards of conduct for employees as well as general information concerning working at BB&N. Please understand that the Handbook may be amended or changed at any time, with or without prior notice, by the Head of School or designated representative. Depending on the particular circumstances, the actions of BB&N may vary from written policy at the discretion of the school. The policies in this Handbook apply to all faculty, administrators, and sta昀昀 and all BB&N campuses and departments. Any policies in the Handbook that require further explanation are speci昀椀c are attached as Appendices. This Handbook supersedes and replaces any previously issued handbooks or information regarding its subject matter. The contents of the Handbook do not constitute the terms of a contract of employment. Accordingly, nothing contained in this Handbook should be construed as a guarantee of continued employment with BB&N, and the language is not intended to create, nor is to be construed to constitute, a contract. Finally, nothing within this Handbook should be construed to interfere with employees’ rights to communicate regarding terms and conditions of employment, as protected by the National Labor Relations Act.
