STIPENDS ON TOP OF A FULL WORKLOAD A Tier 1 stipend is for activities beyond an employee’s full-time responsibilities that meet on a weekly basis for approximately one to two hours total a week. Most often this will mean supporting a weekly club or any other consistent, but not too intensive, activity. This might also be an activity that is intensive for a time period, but not throughout the year. ($1,000) A Tier 2 stipend is for activities beyond an employee’s full-time responsibilities that require signi昀椀cant attention more than once a week totaling approximately three or four hours of work a week, understanding that in some instances that work happens outside of the activity/ meeting. ($2,000) A Tier 3 stipend is for activities beyond an employee’s full-time responsibilities that meet or require daily attention totaling approximately 昀椀ve to seven hours a week, understanding that in some instances that work happens outside of the activity/meeting. Most often this will mean assuming some sort of consistent leadership role with faculty or supporting an intensive student program. ($4,000) A Tier 4 stipend is for activities beyond an employee’s full-time responsibilities that require multiple touch points each day totaling approximately seven to ten hours a week, understanding that in some instances that work happens outside of the activity/meeting. Most often this will mean assuming some sort of signi昀椀cant leadership role with faculty, taking on a signi昀椀cant administrative task, or supporting an intensive student program that requires consistent travel and/or signi昀椀cant responsibilities beyond the typical school day/week. ($5,500) Stipends would be paid for activities beyond a full time teaching role. Stipend amounts will be re-evaluated every 2-3 years. - 38 -
